I know that for many people, the Oysterquartz is the red headed stepchild of the Rolex family but I have always believed that it is a great watch with one the greatest bracelets that Rolex ever made. This is a first generation watch, with the much simpler dial bereft of the later two lines of chronometer text
The simple dial of this version, bereft of the SCOC text suits the simplicity of the case shape. Look at the 3 dimensionality of the tall hour markers, note the interplay between round and flat, polished and brushed and pay particular attention to the bracelet. It’s links aren’t just solid, they are massive, almost monolithic and form what is probably the strongest bracelet ever made by Rolex.
In my humble opinion, still, by far, the most undervalued Rolex watch.
The watch was serviced and the battery replaced recently, it has also been tested for watertightness & passed with flying colours
The case, bracelet, dial & movement are all 95+%.
Diameter 35mm; Lug to Lug 42mm; Height 12mm., and the unique integral two tone bracelet with all 13 links is still fitted.
